A NEW ‘cosy crime’ novel set in Scarborough has received five-star reviews ahead of its release date this week.
Award winning author, Glenda Young, who’s short stories appear in Take a Break and My Weekly, has signed a three novels deal with publisher Headline, and the first book, ‘Murder at the Seaview Hotel’, is to be published on Thursday, November 11.
The novel is set in a bed and breakfast in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, and stars 12 Elvis impersonators.
One of the Elvis impersonators is found dead, so the hotel landlady, joined by her greyhound Suki, sets out to solve the crime to rescue the reputation of the hotel.
Glenda said: “It was a huge amount of fun writing Murder at the Seaview Hotel and it’s not every day that I get to interview an Elvis impersonator as part of the research for my books.
“I love Scarborough and have been going on holiday there ever since I was a little girl, and I was also married there, at the Stephen Joseph Theatre.”
